Brow Lamination

A lifted, brushed-up brow that holds its shape for weeks.

What it is

Lamination is a chemical process, not a tattoo. A softening solution relaxes the brow hairs so they can be brushed into a new direction, then a setting solution locks them there. Nothing is implanted in the skin and no needle is involved. Brushing sparse hairs upward and outward covers gaps and makes the brow look considerably fuller than it is.

Is it right for you?

A good fit if

  • Brows that grow downward, sideways or in several directions at once
  • Sparse or gappy brows where you have hair but it sits flat
  • You want a fuller brow with no needles and no commitment
  • You want to try a bolder brow shape before considering permanent makeup

Not right if

  • Very fine, damaged or over-processed brow hair
  • Broken, irritated or sunburnt skin around the brow
  • You have almost no brow hair — there needs to be something to lift
  • Pregnancy: check with your doctor first

Your skin, specifically

Skin tone
Suitable for all skin tones — the treatment acts on the brow hair rather than the skin.
Skin type
Fine for oily and dry skin. Very sensitive or broken skin around the brow means we postpone until it has settled.
Age & skin maturity
Works at any age. It makes the biggest difference on sparse, gappy or downward-growing brows, which is why it is so popular with clients whose brows have thinned over time.

Before & after care

Before your appointment

  1. Come with clean brows — no makeup, oil or brow gel on the day.
  2. Avoid retinol on the area for 3 days beforehand.
  3. If you have never had lamination, we patch test 24–48 hours ahead.

Aftercare

  1. Keep brows completely dry for 24 hours — this is when the set locks in.
  2. Do not rub, sleep face-down or apply makeup to the brows for 24 hours.
  3. Brush them into shape daily.
  4. Apply the nourishing oil nightly. Lamination is a chemical process and conditioning keeps the hairs healthy.
  5. Avoid sauna and swimming for 48 hours.

Common questions

Does lamination damage brow hair?

It is a chemical process, so it does carry some stress — the same as a perm. Nightly conditioning oil and leaving 6–8 weeks between appointments keeps the hair healthy. Back-to-back lamination without rest is what causes damage.

Can I combine it with tinting?

Yes, and most clients do. Tint added during the same appointment darkens the fine hairs and makes the fullness far more visible.

Is it the same as microblading?

Not at all. Lamination restyles the hair you already have and lasts 6–8 weeks. Microblading implants pigment into the skin and lasts over a year.
