Hydrofacial

A deep cleanse and hydration treatment with no downtime.

What it is

A hydrofacial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in a single sitting using a vortex device rather than manual scrubbing. Suction lifts debris out of the pores while hydrating serum goes in at the same time, so the skin is decongested without being stripped or irritated. It is the treatment to book when you want visible freshness with no recovery time whatsoever.

Is it right for you?

A good fit if

  • Congestion, blackheads and dull-looking skin
  • Dehydrated skin that feels tight
  • Anyone wanting visible results before an event with zero downtime
  • All skin tones — there is no heat or light involved
  • A first treatment if you have never had a professional facial

Not right if

  • Active, inflamed cystic acne — this needs settling first
  • Sunburn or broken skin
  • Active rosacea flare — tell us and we adjust the actives
  • Recent chemical peel or laser within two weeks

Your skin, specifically

Skin tone
One of the safest treatments across every skin tone. There is no heat, light or aggressive abrasion involved, so the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that comes with laser and strong peels simply is not a factor here. Suitable for Fitzpatrick I through VI.
Skin type
Oily and congested skin benefits most visibly — extraction and decongestion make an immediate difference. Dry and dehydrated skin gains from the hydrating stage. Sensitive and rosacea-prone skin is usually fine, but tell us so the actives can be dialled down.
Age & skin maturity
Suits every age. Younger skin tends to come for congestion and breakouts; mature skin for dullness, dehydration and texture. The protocol is adjusted either way rather than being one fixed routine.

Before & after care

Before your appointment

  1. Stop retinol, glycolic acid and other exfoliating actives 3–5 days beforehand.
  2. No waxing, threading or laser on the area for 48 hours.
  3. Avoid sunburn — treatment is not performed on burnt skin.
  4. Arrive with a clean face if you can; if not, we will cleanse for you.

Aftercare

  1. Leave the skin bare for 12 hours — no makeup.
  2. No sauna, steam, hot yoga or heavy exercise for 24 hours.
  3. Hold off on retinol and acids for 3 days.
  4. Wear SPF 30+ daily; freshly resurfaced skin burns more easily.
  5. Drink water and keep your routine simple for a couple of days.

Common questions

Is there any downtime?

None. Skin may look slightly pink for an hour, and most people leave looking brighter immediately. It is genuinely a lunch-break treatment.

How soon before an event should I book?

Anywhere from the day before to a week ahead. Unlike peels or needling there is no flaking stage to plan around.

Is it safe for darker skin tones?

Yes — one of the safest options available. There is no heat, light or aggressive abrasion, so the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation risk associated with laser and strong peels is not a factor.

How often should I have one?

Monthly maintains the result. Many clients book it as a standing appointment because there is no recovery to plan around.

Will it clear my acne?

It helps significantly with congestion, blackheads and mild breakouts. Active cystic acne needs a medical route first — we will say so rather than sell you a course that will not deliver.
